South Yuba Club, a full-service, state-of-the-art health club in Grass Valley, is looking for experienced, enthusiastic, and professional Personal Trainers to join our team.

 

What You’ll Do:
As a Personal Trainer at South Yuba Club, you’ll design personalized fitness programs and coach members in exercise, nutrition, and healthy lifestyle habits. Your role goes far beyond reps and sets — you’ll inspire real change in people’s lives. And we’ll be right there to support your growth every step of the way.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Certified Personal Trainer (NASM, ACE, NSCA, ACSM, ISSA, AFAA, NFPT, or CHEK preferred)
  • Current CPR certification
  • 1+ year of experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of program design, corrective exercise, and basic nutrition
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-player mindset
  • Professional, reliable, and organized
  • Physically able to lift 50 lbs
  • Most importantly: You’re passionate about helping clients succeed!

 

Perks & Compensation:

  • $16.50 – $56.50 per hour
  • Part-time positions available, with the opportunity to grow into full-time

Disco Dinks Recap
What a night! Disco Dinks was an absolute blast — thank you to everyone who dressed up and brought the sparkle. The outfits were amazing, and the vibe was off the charts. A huge congratulations to Susan Mahaffy, who took home the title of Best Dressed with an outfit that was truly next level. We love this community and the joy you bring to these events!

SYC Pickleball Beach Bash
Friday, July 18 • 5:00–7:00 PM
Join us for a summer social to remember!

  • Beach balls in play for bonus round fun
  • BBQ grill available — bring your favorite meat or veggies to throw on
  • Pickleball Pong court with paddles and soft balls — choose your best score and record it on the clipboard!
  • Beachy attire encouraged (no flip flops on court!)

Skill-Building Sessions
Pickleball 101 – Every Monday at 9:00 AM: Perfect for beginners or players brushing up on the basics.
Pickleball 102 – Every Tuesday at 8:00 AM: New this month! Build confidence, strategy, and structured gameplay beyond the basics.

 



 
Pickleball Playground
This casual, welcoming play continues every Sunday at 9:00 AM. Great for connecting with other beginning players and having some relaxed fun on the court.

 


 


With over 200 rated players now active, our schedule is more dynamic than ever! I’m keeping a close eye on attendance and adjusting month to month to make sure every level is supported.

Summer is here, and there's no better time to level up your fitness routine, and earn rewards while you're at it! At South Yuba Club, we’re running two ongoing Group Exercise Challenges designed to keep you motivated, connected, and moving. Whether you're a group class regular or a cycling enthusiast, there’s something for everyone. Here’s what’s happening:

 

Challenge #1: The Group Exercise Check-In Challenge
Consistency is key to reaching your fitness goals, and we want to reward you for showing up. In the Group Exercise Challenge, every time you check in at the club and attend a group exercise class, you earn points. It's that simple!

How It Works:

1 check-in + 1 class = 1 point

 

Be sure to sign up for classes ahead of time on our website or in your South Yuba Club app.

 

The more classes you attend, the more points you rack up. Prizes are awarded when you hit 50 classes, 100 classes, etc!

 

All group exercise classes count, whether it's Yoga, Team Training, Group Power, or Pilates.


This is a great way to explore new classes, meet other members, and make your workouts a regular habit. Plus, friendly competition never hurts.

 


 


Challenge #2: The Cycling Mileage Club
If cycling is your thing, this one’s for you. The Cycling Mileage Club Challenge rewards members for the distance they ride in any of our cycling classes. Whether you’re a weekend warrior or a daily rider, every mile moves you closer to the top.

Mileage is tracked weekly by our instructors


Ride more = earn more


Whether you're chasing a personal record or just love the energy of a great cycling session, this challenge is a fun way to push your limits.

Besides the bragging rights and motivation, both challenges come with chances to win prizes, celebrate your milestones, and stay accountable with your fellow members. It's also a fantastic way to stay consistent through the season and get to know our awesome group exercise instructors.

 

 
How to Participate:


Simply check in at the front desk for each visit.


Be sure to sign up for the class you're attending through your MindBody app, or have our front desk staff sign you into class when you check in to the Club.


Track your progress on the leaderboard posted weekly at the club.


No sign-up fees. No complicated rules. Just show up, move your body, and have fun!
