Michelle McIntosh

Formerly USCF CAT 3 Road/Crit & Track Cyclist, NCAA Track & Field, NCAA Cross Country, and 7-Time BSM Champion Triathlete, Michelle enjoys a variety of sports and exercise, especially outdoor activities. Coaching local youth in Track & Field and Cross Country she gives students a chance to build character, experience comradery, and have fun while exercising. Teaching in a cooperative preschool for over 25 years, children enjoy movement experiences together.
Teaching classes in Pilates, Forever Fit, Cycling, and Qigong at SYC, her fitness philosophy includes that you are never too young to begin or too old to participate. The seniors inspire me to move, keep moving and enjoy doing whatever you do each day. We all have times in our lives where our health & fitness takes a backseat to other important aspects of our lives. I am passionate about educating people of all ages in self-care and how to feel better in mind, body, and spirit in order to live a happy healthspan.


Michelle McIntosh instructs the following:
  • Pilates
  • This mat class moves through all the essential exercises and prepares students for all levels of Pilates mat exercises. Focus is on basic Pilates principles, including proper breathing, and shoulder and pelvic stabilization. Students will improve core strength, balance and flexibility.

  • Forever Fit
  • A combination of low impact cardio, strength, and stretch for all fitness levels

  • Alignment-Based Vinyasa Flow - 75
  • Meld body and breath into the present-moment, aligning the body for optimal energy flow through all categories of yoga poses. Balance postural understanding, strength, flexibility and develop mindful-heartful awareness you can take into life beyond class.

  • Qi Gong
  • This socially oriented program promotes health and fitness for life.  A healing form of Tai Chi, QiGong has been utilized for centuries for improving circulation, joint pain, flexibility, and relaxation.
