Alignment-Based Vinyasa Flow - 75

This class is taught by:

Tracy Lease

Tracy Lease, yoga therapist, yoga teacher, Pilates teacher, and yoga teacher trainer owns and directs Full Life Yoga Studio and teaches Mindful Pilates and Alignment-Based Yoga Flow at the South Yuba Club. Tracy also leads anatomy workshops and yoga trainings at the club.
Tracy empowers each unique student to move toward optimal health and happiness. Tracy has spent 20+ years joyfully guiding students, ages 4 to 96, in movement and mindfulness practices in classrooms, studios, clubs, domestic violence shelters, and jails. Tracy also guides local and international retreats.
Tracy’s greatest teacher is her own body. At 16, due to extreme pain, she discovered structural scoliosis. Experience with her spine helps Tracy have empathy with students and their body challenges. She has spent years integrating study of the body — so whether she teaches about feet, yoga postures, the nervous system, or the breath, Tracy gives people fun, useful ways to incorporate what has been learned into daily life. Michelle McIntosh

Formerly USCF CAT 3 Road/Crit & Track Cyclist, NCAA Track & Field, NCAA Cross Country, and 7-Time BSM Champion Triathlete, Michelle enjoys a variety of sports and exercise, especially outdoor activities. Coaching local youth in Track & Field and Cross Country she gives students a chance to build character, experience comradery, and have fun while exercising. Teaching in a cooperative preschool for over 25 years, children enjoy movement experiences together.
Teaching classes in Pilates, Forever Fit, Cycling, and Qigong at SYC, her fitness philosophy includes that you are never too young to begin or too old to participate. The seniors inspire me to move, keep moving and enjoy doing whatever you do each day. We all have times in our lives where our health & fitness takes a backseat to other important aspects of our lives. I am passionate about educating people of all ages in self-care and how to feel better in mind, body, and spirit in order to live a happy healthspan.

Stacie Reveles

Raised in a dance studio taking ballet, tap, and jazz from the ages of 3 to 21, I found my yoga practice sustained me after my dance career. With my background in classical ballet, I enjoy teaching Barre and bring ballet terms, techniques, methodology and the joy of movement to class. In class, I especially enjoy seeing the looks of determination to get through a tough set, as well as witnessing the softness in the eyes and faces when we are flowing.

I’ve practiced yoga for over 3 decades and began teaching in 2019, and am certified in both Vinyasa and the 26&2 Series (formerly known as Bikram). I continue to take yoga courses at Ananda as I gravitate towards the fullness of Ananda yoga and the depth of their coursework. I deeply appreciate the practice of yoga and the strength, flexibility, and balance it can bring to the physical body; the release, relaxation, and allowing in the subtle body; and the peace and stillness yoga brings to the mind, heart, and soul.
My ultimate goal is to make yoga accessible through offering modifications, while keeping everyone safe in alignment and working right at our edge. Always honoring where the body is in the moment, asanas are an ongoing practice moving directionally toward your edge, and surprising yourself along the way.

Each class is yours, and you are always your greatest teacher. A favorite quote from an instructor of mine really honors the reason behind this practice, “If you come to a yoga class and stay in Savasana the whole hour…you’re doing it right!”

Meld body and breath into the present-moment, aligning the body for optimal energy flow through all categories of yoga poses. Balance postural understanding, strength, flexibility and develop mindful-heartful awareness you can take into life beyond class.
