Pickle Season is HERE!!! And we couldn’t be more excited to welcome returning players and new faces to the courts for a packed and playful season ahead. We've been working hard behind the scenes to launch a full slate of programming, events, and league play that celebrates everything we love about this game: fun, competition, and community.
Getting Our Ratings Right – A Community Effort
As many of you know, self-ratings in the Grass Valley community have caused confusion and imbalance in play. To address this, GVPC and SYC are working together to ensure a more accurate and fair ratings system.
We’re taking two important steps:
Step One: Self-Rating
Use the Pickleball Rating Guide to assess your level. Be honest—this helps everyone!
Submit your self-rating by the end of March to John at the club or by email: johnh@southyubaclub.com
Step Two: Ratings Day
Saturday, April 12 at South Yuba Club | Open to the public.
Come get an in-person evaluation.
We’ve formed a Ratings Committee to help monitor play, Round Robins, and events. Our goal is a consistent, community-supported ratings process that improves the experience for everyone.
