There's a lot happening at the club this month! It's Member Referral Month, which means this is the best time to bring friends and family in to spend time at the Club with you. At the end of the month, we are hosting our annual Member Appreciation Party, with food, drinks and fun activities all day long. We hope you can join us for a fun day at SYC! Come hang out, meet your SYC community, take a swim, and maybe try a class or play a round of pickleball!
Friends and family are welcome to join you for the festivities. Be sure to come hungry because we'll fire up the BBQ's and be cooking up burgers and hot dogs on the patio! Snacks, beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided as well. Bring the kids for some fun in the pool, and a bounce house!
We will be launching a new Group Power class, and will offer a special Intro to Cycle Gauges class. If you've been looking to try a group exercise class, but have been intimidated to take that first step, these are the perfect opportunities to get into the studio.
If you aren't a member yet, this is also a great time to come check out the Club and meet the SYC community! We will have special membership offers available all day.

In this clinic, Dylan will teach you how to make running safe and effective for your body. Learn proper methods of strength training to prepare not only your muscles, but also your tendons, ligaments and bones for running. Dylan will also go over proper progressions, and how to manage your mileage for maximum effectiveness. You can sign up at the front desk, or through your SYC app.

Please welcome our new Cycling instructors, Kurt and Robyn!
Kurt Stockton is a multi-faceted former professional cyclist with over 43 years of cycling experience.
Kurt began riding a bike soon after he could walk, raced BMX in grade school, began road racing in 1982 and competed as a professional road and mountain bike racer throughout the 90’s. In 1990 Kurt won the coveted US Professional National Road championship and is a two- time member of the US Professional World Championships road race team as well as a member of the 1994 US Mountain Bike World Championships team.
Over the past 43 years, Kurt has ridden or raced in 35 of the 50 states and over 20 different countries. During that time, no more than a month has gone by without Kurt riding his bike.
Kurt looks forward to bringing his cycling experience to the South Yuba Club and help to develop a comprehensive indoor cycling program.
Robin’s experience moving through the women’s cycling racing ranks gives her a unique perspective to share with developing riders. She began cycling after a knee injury forced her to give up tennis and volleyball in college.
Upon graduating from the University of Tennessee with a Sports Management degree, the bike became her outlet to keep her love of sports alive. She quickly became a pro cyclist and won the 2011 USA National Road Race Championship, spring boarding her onto the international racing scene. Racing in Europe gave her valuable experience to enhance her skills and earn a spot on the 2012 USA Olympic Long Team for road racing.
Throughout her cycling career Robin has operated her own endurance coaching business, RoFA Endurance, owned a bike shop in Charlotte, NC, started the Women’s Cycling Association that was instrumental in launching the campaign for equity in cycling for women, and is instrumental in Cynisca Cycling, a women’s professional cycling team, as Director of Operations.

Cycling Mileage Club
Beginning April 1st, we will be starting an SYC Mileage Club in all of our Cycling Classes!
In order to participate, be sure to sign up for the Stages Studio + app on your phone. Use the app in ALL cycling classes that you attend, and you'll start getting your workout summaries. Even though the challenge starts in April, we recommend taking this step sooner so you are familiar with how the app works.
There will be prizes for goals of 250, 500, and 1000 miles.

Summer Camp
We hope the kids can join us for two fun week-long camps that will be filled with pool time, arts and crafts, team games and activities, water balloons, outdoor and indoor activities and so much more!
There are two opportunities to join this year's Kids Camp:
June 24th and July 8th
Monday through Friday, 9am-2pm
Cost: $230 per camp week
This summer camp is open to the public, and designed for children ages 6-9 years old
Snacks will be provided by SYC. Please bring lunches brought from home. Details will be sent to parents the week before each camp.

Summer is coming, and there's no better time to start teaching your little one how to stay safe in the water. Our certified and experienced instructors will guide your child through lessons that are both FUN and EFFECTIVE for building water safety skills. Our indoor, heated pool keeps kiddos comfortable in the
water while they learn!
