POSITIVE ENERGY + FITNESS ENTHUSIAST = ERIN

You may know her as one of the most energized people in the club – her energy is infectious and just one of the reasons she’s acquired a dedicated group of members who regularly show up morning and night for her classes. It’s hard to take a class from Erin without getting caught up in her motivation and enthusiasm. In fact, that enthusiasm for fitness was first discovered being a member herself in classes and it was what propelled her into the journey of becoming a Personal Trainer.
“I joined the clubhouse in Nevada City when they had a promotion going. I immediately fell in love with the team training workouts. One day I giggled to Renee, “‘If I get certified will you hire me?’ I was half joking, but she said yes. I immediately signed up for NASM and got certified…I didn’t realize that fitness was my passion. It’s my happy place. It’s also really helped me to grow in my confidence as a person. I can do things that I never thought I could do. And exercise keeps me not just physically fit, but also mentally and emotionally.”
TEAM SUPPORT
Erin came into Personal Training having experienced the incredible benefits of physical fitness in her life and wanting to help others on their journey. “I love team training classes. The energy in the room is infectious. We are a big exercise group/family. Many friendships have been made from those classes. Not only can I speak for myself, but I watch friendships grow each day. It’s amazing to see us encourage & support each other and motivate one another. What got me interested in those classes was taking them as a client. I loved how much the classes challenged me and the quick results I got. I melted inches off my stomach after my son was born within four months.“
FAVORITE PART
As a Personal Trainer for five years, Erin says, “My favorite part about personal training is helping people reach their goals. It’s wonderful to watch them do things they never thought they could do. Their face lights up with excitement.”
HER PASSION
Erin’s passion for fitness is as strong as ever and it motivates her to train about 4 to 5 days a week, making sure to carve out rest days on the weekends. She blends cardio with strength training. “Most of my workouts are all timed for the exercise period, as well as the rest period. That makes me push it longer than I would have as well as not take too long to rest and have my heart rate go down too much. It helps to keep a regulated target heart rate.”

Fitness aside, we had a couple of other fun questions for Erin:
What is your favorite healthy snack?
My favorite go-to healthy snack is hands-down air popped popcorn. It’s a staple item in my pantry. I’d also have to say almonds.
What’s your favorite cheat food?
My cheat day weakness would have to be cheeseburger and fries. Pizza isn’t far behind. Anything chocolate is always good (we agree!).
What do you do for fun outside the club?
I love to go camping. I love to sleep in (even though I rarely get to do it). I enjoy taking my dog for walks. I enjoy swimming. If I could, I would go to Disneyland every year.
Is there anything else you’d want to say to members?
I would encourage people to keep making progress in baby steps. There are things that I can do in the gym now that I never thought I would be able to do. Just keep trying and you’ll get it.
