Carolyn Richert

Carolyn Richert has dedicated 14 years to teaching fitness classes at the South Yuba Club. Her passion for movement began at the age of five. She trained with the Sacramento Ballet and the San Francisco Ballet School, eventually becoming a semi-professional dancer at the Dancers' Forum in San Francisco. With a master’s degree in Fine Arts, she taught dance at institutions such as UC Berkeley, Mills College, American River College, Consumnes River College, and Sacramento City College. After relocating to the foothills, she continues to teach in Nevada and Sutter Counties, embracing various styles including Zumba, ballet, contemporary, HITT, Fit Jam, Forever Fit, and Stretch. With each class, she strives to inspire and uplift her students. A Nevada County resident for 25 years, she cherishes the area's beauty. Alongside her husband, she has raised two daughters in Nevada City, and when she’s not teaching, she serves as a high school Guidance Counselor.
