Ed Townsend
I was born and raised in Southern California. My teen years were spent surfing and sailing. In my early 20’s I took up hang gliding and eventually became a professional pilot and instructor. I attended college in SoCal, but found my calling at a trade school where I learned sign making.
I moved to Grass Valley in 1984 and founded The Grass Valley Sign Company.
I have one son and one granddaughter. I retired this year and now spend my time cycling and hiking with my wife Katherine and our dog Aero. I love playing the banjo and teaching spin classes.
